We are aware of 2 spring salmon caught on the Taw and Mole. If you were one of the captors please send details. Over 20 kelt have been caught. The BDAA have very responsibly temporarily ceased fishing to allow those near the estuary chance to return to the sea.
If you catch a kelt - please do look after these fantastic fish. If they return to the sea then they are likely to come back to the river again as a multi winter fish. Please handle with care and respect, make sure to keep them wet, remove the hook with forceps and spend time letting them recover supporting them and facing them into the current before releasing them
